Info on FLORIDA KEYS Story "Legend" Man Pays Debt With Spanish Gold/Silver 1930-1950?
From what I remember about the story it was about an old timer (sailor, captain, fisherman) that owed money at a "harbor or Marina" disappeared for a couple of days, reappeared with Spanish gold/silver coins to pay his debt. Pulling the same stunt numerous times. Apparently treasure hunters got interested and took note of his bearing and tried to follow but gave up pursuit after distance. I think heading in a SouthWesterly direction out of the Keys, Florida.
