Interesting Carved Lead Find at an old CW camp today

I went back to the Civil War camp, same one that produced the reale yesterday, and found something that is pretty interesting.... not sure what to make of it..

First pic is some bullets, Shield Nickle and a match case with a company name..

..and the carved block with "some"letters on it... appears to have been broken on the right side.. and the letters appear to be "E S ? H or R" I was thinking maybe a stamp for marking gear but really have no idea..

Boy this is the week for some great civil war relics. At first it looked like the lead had the letters CSA, but maybe something different. Congrats on the digs and nice bullets too!
 
Yeah someones initials maybe. :icon_scratch: Neat find.
