Was hunting an area where I?ve found some mid -1700s artifacts today
and found a cool button I?d like some help identifying. It?s bent and the shank
is missing. At first I thought it had Roman numerals around the edge but upon
closer look it may just be design lines. I do think I?m seeing a rattlesnake within
the middle design. There are no back markings. It?was found near where I found
a nice spectacle buckle last year. I?d appreciate any comments. The other relic is
Like one I?ve nver found. It appears to be lead or pewter. The wide end is flat and
Solid but the smaller side is hollow with a hole. I?ve no clue as to what it is so any ideas?
Next weekend should be my long awaited trip to historic early 1700s home of family
friend. The home is on a 6 acre property which has seen rev war activity. Its
