I got my usual Thursday box today and the first 3/4 was as expected with no keepers. Then I had a roll that looked like silver on one end but I wasn't sure. Opened it and found a nice 68-D. Next roll I checked the ends and found this looking at me

Kind of cool seeing it on the end like that. That roll also had a 66 and another 68-D.

Not a 200+ silver box like several of you have found recently but 3 40% is better than nothing and any coin thats almost 100 years old I think is a neat find.

Great find. My two boxes today gave up 3 '64s and 7 40s. I've really only had two great boxes, they are almost always very sparce pickings for me.

Thanks DrDetector. It looks like a few of them have been found recently. I have been having very bad luck with boxes also for almost a year now, but I keep looking. I have had much better luck bank hunting.

It comes and goes with boxes, for sure. I went a couple months with almost nothing to show for it this spring.

I have found a few of those English pennies, some Irish Punts, some Australian pennies, etc. I think even a coin from Fiji. Interesting mix out there that will fit into a half roll, eh?

You know with me approaching $100,000 in halves searched, I have not once found a single foreign coin or token.
