Found this in my change today. As a habit I check all 1988 pennies for RDV-006. For those who don't know, you can read about it here. It was...difficult (lol) to check this one. You can see why:

My initial thought was a grease error but the edges of the Memorial are sharp, even in their circulated condition, and the initials are just...not there. I don't even see a trace of them. Thoughts?

I just searched these on eBay and found 2 more for sale there. Apparently a few got out before they caught it at the Mint. Guess I'll add this one to my ever-growing collection of penny errors.
