OK, before you call me a crack pot for posting a set of glasses I found at the beach, check this out. When I was at Flagler Beach earlier in the week (http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,167384.0.html) a guy called me out of the surf to ask if I had found a pair of blue aluminum framed reading glasses. He said he had bought them in Germany and was really upset about having lost them. I replied I hadn't, but would be happy to look for them, he said he had lost them a couple days before and pointed out the area. I have seen glasses whip by me while I have been detecting, so I knew the glasses were probably no where near where he lost them, but the tide was still low, so I went out about waist high in the area, but didn't get any signals. He said he was around the beach often and would keep an eye out for me.
Well I went back to the beach a few days later and decided to work North of the pier. I have rarely found anything North of the pier so I haven't swung there in a long time. After about an hour of collecting clad, I got a signal in the surf and dug a scoop. When I pulled the scoop up, it pryed these glasses out of the sand. I saw the blue frames and couldn't believe I had found the guys' glasses. They did get a little damaged, looks like some from the surf, and a scrape on the lens which is probably from me, but there they are anyway.
I thought you guys might be interested to see how far it was from where he pointed; to where I found them. There was about 4 days between his loss and my find. It is pretty close to a 1/4 mile away.

Now I just have to remember to bring them with me every time I go detecting at the beach so when I see the guy, I can re-unite him with his glasses.
