So, before I say or post anything, please keep in mind that I am not trying to be religious or preachy whatsoever. I’m just posting something I found.

I was at a thrift store, trying to find some things that we could use for volunteering at a school. While there, I found this for $1.19.

I got it, because it ties in with my churches history. Not planning on using it at the school, for obvious reasons.

It’s a very interesting brick, don’t you think?

The LDS Church operates a brickworks at Nauvoo to produce these as souvenirs.

I understand that miniature ones are given out to visitors on guided tours and larger ones sold in the gift shop. I’ve seen others in fancy colours too.

Well, Nauvoo is a place of historic interest for visitors, whether members of the LDS or just plain tourists with no particular religious affiliation.
