I had done a bit of research in my area on a countryclub that had been a place for the wealthy to gather and relax. it was surrounded by natural springs. it included a golf course and horse stables and a pool. I dug this ink stamp. all that is left of it is the metal stamp portion. Burrus CO. was a flour mill co. back in the 30's. a man named Wilmer L O'daniel was their company promoter. I believe he may of had the stamp and was possibly stamping samples in efforts to bring in business for Burrus Co. I am still researching.... I am trying to date this sloagan. based on what it reads it was probibly around the christmas holidays in the early 1930's. there is also a bit of interesting history that surrounds Wilmer O'daniel I just need to finish the puzzle..... heres the pics.. NOTE; the one pic i used a mirror to reverse the image... Thanks for looking !!

very interesting find. I love finding printing plates, I have 2 or 3 of them.

Way to go.

Now that is a neat find! Did you ever find any more information on it? :dontknow:
