The Internet was out at work, which meant I couldn't get anything done, so I took the opportunity to hit up some banks. Only found a couple loose clad halves (one bank had four solid rolls of bicentennial halves - no thanks), but I befriended a few tellers who may give me a call if they see anything interesting.

I was going to clean my regular bank out of the last of the half dollar dumps that were there, but somebody else got there before me, so hopefully I'll get some fresh stuff there soon. I did dump some dimes, nickels and pennies. When I asked about large dollars and showed them my Ike, they got to talking about stuff they've found. One teller was proud of the steel penny he found. Another was bragging about a couple solid rolls of silver quarters she snagged, and an older teller had gotten like 20 Morgan dollars one time. They were all silver savvy, so I think that bank is going to remain a dump for me.

Did pick up a Brinks box of nickels, and it was pretty good:

1959 D x 2 (including one really pretty one)
1958 D x 3
1957
1957 D
1955 D
1954
1954 D
1952
1949
1946
1943 P silver x 2
1941 x 2
1940 x 2
1936 Buffalo

I did start looking for 2009 nickels, since someone mentioned the low mintage. I only found a couple in the whole box, so they are pretty scarce - as scarce as silvers or buffaloes so far for me! By contrast, there are a couple 1964s in every single roll. 2009 pennies are kinda scarce too - I haven't even seen the fourth design at all, and I've only seen two D mintmarks.

Also found one nickel that looked like it had been almost chopped in half on both sides, an old one with the date worn off (might be 1939, but hard to tell), a '94 and '86 Canadian, one with a pink sticker advertising a local pawn shop, and a '96 with unusual and very pretty pale blue toning (I'd post a picture can't really capture it on camera). I also found an odd looking 2000 that has some strong doubling on the obverse. Probably just machine doubling or just a really worn out die, but I'm gonna hang on to it.
