Thrillatahunt came over and it was to wet to sift so we checked a few places out, and got some neat stuff but nothing Great, I did manage a silver nickle a wheat and a memmorial Swung a magnet down a cistern to see what I could drag up got a hoe a skate (that made me laugh) and a whatsit. Had a copper head sliver just next to my boot faster than I could raise a shovel to it.

Yea the snake was a good snake, It dident bite me! definetly a cooper head though. Kinda scary, i dident go near the house after that and kinda tiptoed around.

you are braver than I, I have stayed away from sites like that until those snakes are gone, I ran into too many early on this year that I decided to water hunt for the summer, now I am getting my relic itch real bad so I hope the cold comes soon.

Venomous snakes will only bite a human in self defense.I've encountered plenty of them and have never been even struck at because I left them alone
Most snakebites in the US involve alcohol, and obviously it's not the snake who's drinking!

That was the place with the old cisterns Larry took you to, im still pulling old stuff there (The hogs keep making new spots in the trees and around the old house) but havent found a old coin there yet Gonna put a ladder down the cisterns in the next couple weeks.

Ill be wearing Snake chapes, hard hat, and packing, Not much silt in the bottom of these holes and the walls are solid mortar, Theres a few around here I wouldent go in any time of yr.
