introduction of the bow

Came across this real quick
Atlatls to Bows: Introduction | Gambler's House

....but ironically since we were just talking about places to see.........outside of Lovelock Nevada,is the Marzen house Museum(I hope it is still open)now....you used to have to call a ## and a very pleasnt elderly lady would come and open up for you....she knew me well....I was likely a Huge PEST(Unfortunatly I doubt she is still with us)anyway....in the back yard there is another building....in the corner of that building are some letters back and forth between to archeologists...one who was excavating the nearby Love Lock Cave(early 1930's I beleive)and the other who was either in China or had just returned from excavations there......they were comparing the undeniable similarities betwwen many items they were finding.......pretty much no doubt left, that these were the same people, and I beleive it was in those transcripts they talk about their beleifs on when the Bow came into play....it was much earlier than is said today.

there is also pictures and descriptions of the unidentified canine like creature found in Love lock Cave(I have held the pelt which is made into a quiver)its still unknown what it is.I have all of the archi reports on Lovelock cave and much of this info is not included in the reports but that is typical...even back then they were afraid to rock the boat and be admonished I reckon.....priceless info ,in that tiny back room....

.search the Red Headed Giants(I seen a mummy of one in the 80's at the Museum at UNR....that they claim to know nothing about now)then get the Book,"In the Shadow of Fox Peak",they talk about several cases, including one of two of these giants wrapped in a net being plowed up in the early 1900's outside of Fallon, then get the Diary of Sarah Winnemucca....actually you dont have to get it....she tells the whole story...many call it a legend, but its not really a legend when its true? They do mention skulls...large skulls with red hair found in the cave and broken Flaming(burned) arrows, which Winnemucca tells that her people chased them into the cave and shot flaming arrows in to kill them,in the archi reports, but claim that it was from a chemical reaction in the soil....ok..so why did they also find black hair??I am not a conspiracy guy....check the facts out there....then see what the archies have conviently dis pelled or denied...

Does anyone have a good link or article on the introduction and history of the bow in NA specifically?
Check out this site and this book, you can read it on the site www.archerylibary.com North American bows, arrows and quivers by Otis T. mason it gives a lot of info on bows and arrows for all type of game.

ok, so following you links I read this in a couple of places.... Some archeologists also think that the Athabascans introduced the bow and arrow onto the Northwest Coast area many centuries ago, since this weapon appears to have spread down from the north just at the time when we would expect the Athabascan migration to have occurred.

...now this makes lot of sense to me as the Athabascans were the latecomers of the indigenous American peoples and their migration and genetic markers are pretty clear.

thanks guys, if true this is an elegant answer.
