iPhone4, surely everyone waited and didn't buy the first model?

I can't, for the life of me, deal with the fact that Steve Jobs told us to 'not hold the phone by the edges'. There's already a lawsuit in the system as of today. ...Dang, it's like the old chevy/ford... for any motor head out there... can you imagine buying the first model of anything? Thats' a big no-no. Wait until the bugs have worked themselves out. Heck, it's typically 5 years before you can buy that model car and you knew that the bugs were worked out. Also, can you imagine standing in line for hours and hours, just to get your pre-ordered iPhone? I sorry, but I have to to say, you people that did this, had pure apple love, Pure 'faithful' apple love, and it's now kicking you in the rear.

lesson learned, do not ever buy the first model.

Yep, I've had 3 or 4 and that's all I ever used them for. To me they are more of a nuisance then anything.

Heck I still waiting for my first cell phone. I tell my wife is someone wants to talk to me the will have to wait until I get home. Now in her case she is talking or texting all the time on her phone....Matt

I Think Texting was the Biggest Mistake they ever made.

I Absolutely Hate making a Text Message,
I hate when somone Texts me, Especially when I'm driving,
(when Somone Texts me I Phone them
to Reply. if they don't answer, they don't deserve a reply.

is Different)
And it even buggs me to see somone sitting
Texting, especially when driving.

I can live with them holding the phone to their ear
they still have a free hand to Drive & eyes to see

But Texting or Playing games or whatever
while Driving or even walking upsets me.

For some reason every time I see a Kid with
a cell phone Pushing Buttons I want
to take their "Phone" from them.
Sometimes I Think they text each other
when they are With each other

Talk or Put it away !

Jeff of PA, I agree with you 99% For the most part I only need a phone to talk to someone, but there are times I need the blackberry capability to answer business e-mails if I am not by my computer. So, I don't see the advantage in getting any newer technology than what I already have. Worse case scenario I use the e-mail maybe 15% of the time. Even then, many times I will read it and call the sender to discuss any issues.

I couldn't survive without my Iphone, or least I wouldn't want to have to. I don't text much but I use it for so many other things.

Well I know I am in the minority but I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE, did I say HATE, my Iphone.

I do NOT use the data portion of it, I do not like to text, and the phone's reception sucks.

Everytime I go to update it when I plug it in to sync with my PC I get major issues.

They tried to talk me into upgrading to the Iphone 4 at AT&T and I said "NO!!!!!" The ONLY cool feature about the 4 that I see is the video camera.

Apple sure has made a killing with a substandard phone in my opinion. I would love to go back to a flip phone but the only one I like is the Military grade Motorola at $179.00, and that is a little too much to pay for a cell phone in my opinion.

Remember the first text messages that were sent via an operator to a pager? They were like $1 a piece.

I wouldn't own an IPhone if they were giving gold plated ones away, too many people I know hate them because they had nothing but problems.

I have Verizon and just updated from a Juke(very small and fragile, I'm surprised it lasted two years without me braking it) to a LG enVtouch which we love, video camera, internet, unlimited everything even though I don't text.

I love this phone.

We went to a party July 3rd and I lost my phone. I got it back last night...this has been the quietest week I have had in months
