I found an Ipod tumbling around in the surf and thought it was a goner. I took it home and washed it out under the faucet, blew it out with the air compressor and let it sit a week. It never came on so my son barrowed a charger from one of his friends. I plugged it in and guess what, yep it works. It has 222 songs on it no photos and no contact info. Seems to work fine for now. I hope I got all the salt out. Time will tell. So if you find a soggy Ipod don’t toss it away like I almost did.

nice find but i despise ipods. There built so that if the battery dies on it you have to pay 50 bucks + to send it in for a new one. I ended up breaking one trying to do it myself so I smartened up and bought a zune

Well that's good to know. Glad I didn't buy one.
Thanks for the info, I was wondering about where the battery goes, it doesn't. :-\

Found this one on a beach a few inches down. It is an IPOD Shuffle. I took it home and it did not work. I took it to Best Buy and he asked me if I recharged it. I had no clue! I bought a charger/usb cable for it and it worked great. It had some awful music on it. I erased that crap and now it has Jimmy Buffet. Still awful but at least it's my awful music.

A radio works for me...

Thanks Tteasurdiggr

I needed that this morning.

My son asked to use the Ipod and I haven’t seen it since. Oh well, back to the beach.

But will your Zune survive a trip through the wash and a swim at the beach?
