Howdy All. Found this thing at a 1910 home site. After cleaning it I am still in the dark on what it is. Thanks for any info.

I would say an old wood stove, top lid handle.
Huh, interesting, in a cool way. It looks as though the pin piece on the right hand side pivoted... Does this seem right? (being easier to tell as you inspect it in person). If so, how far? maybe a hinge of some sort?
Part of pressure cooker maybe? The "handle" thing closing the steam valve with the help of a counterweight?
