Looking around where a country store used to be in the 1920s and 1930s.

Indian head nickel not picture, have it soaking in Worcestershire Sauce.

Also found pieces of 2 files. They are about 3 inches long and still have part of the tang.

Iron was in a chunk of dirt and rust. Handle looks like it broke off a long time ago. I used a small prybar to take the heavy dirt and rust off. Might use a grinder with a wire wheel to clean it up some more.

Spoon broke when I was digging it up.

Hinge is very large, maybe for a barn door?

Now that's an authentic iron iron you got there :icon_thumright:
Would have been heated up on a coal or wood stove before the modern advent of gas and electricity.

Congrats on the Buffalo nic and other finds

Hello Kevin,

Soak the iron in apple cider vinegar will clean-up real nice with time!
