It's been raining down here in Louisiana, I've been pretty bored, so I'm looking through my old clad and this dime looks a little different. I can't see a date on it and it's a little smaller than the other clad dime. The edges are also shiny. IMG_0429.webpIMG_0425.webpIMG_0427.webpupload1496187126.969366.webp What do you think?

I'm leaning towards clad on this one.... only one way to tell for sure...
Cut the biotch in half.
If anything, it'll give you something to do.:dontknow:

Glad I could help!:laughing7:

I'd start with a drop test. Compare it with a known silver dime and a clad dime by dropping them on a hard surface and listening to the sound they make. If you plan on detecting a lot in the future, you may want to invest in an acid test kit. They're fairly cheap on Ebay. The kit helps a lot with jewelry finds.

Yeah I acid tested it. It's clad.

Ah, the Gordian knot solution - tried and true since Alexander the Great!
