Hi guys, some advice needed. I have a 2016 built dualfield, and I have put about 25 hours on it. I was out on Saturday, and the machine I was running at the factory marks, and the threshold was very choppy, and it also seems like the threshold tone would double in volume for a split second and then settle down again. I change the batteries out, but still no diffrent.
Sunday..
Went to 2 diffrent beaches, and the threshold is like a Morse code message at factory marks, so I had to turn the gain down to 9 o clock to get anything near a steady threshold. Even though the were no power lines or anything near me I clicked the pulse delay on to about 7 o clock, but when I touch the knob it sounds like you have just clicked it into battery test. Does this sound right or does it sound as if something is failing? The machine has never been under water, but has been rinsed off after every use with fresh water. Your thoughts please.
Also I notice that when I hold the machine horizontal and set the threshold and then lower the coil to the ground, the threshold does change, but stays changed, and if I go from wet sand into the water I don't here any change in tone, so I wonder if I have an issue with the SAT?

Could be a pinhole leak in the coil. Something isn't right. :skullflag:

Thanks for the reply Terry, I was thinking something along the same lines.
