I have two equinox detectors and I’ve never had an issue with them in the water. The beaches I detect are sanded in most of the time so water targets are few and far between and there’s little trash. For this reason, I normally just dig everything. So I’m thinking, why not just carry the control on my shoulder up out of the water since I don’t need to see the display and eliminate any chance of a leak. The only problem is that the coil cable isn’t long enough to carry it that high. Surely there is a way to connect to the existing cable and just extend it to the control. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
