Is there gold in white water rapids?

Regardless of the plausibility of retrieving gold from white water rapids, is there any gold in them. Just thought there could be considering nobody has ever done this to my knowledge. So anybody think there could be inaccessible gold in fast moving rapids? If you could answer my question it would put my mind at ease thanks.
