Your object there appears to be made of stamped steel (a magnet test should tell).

Only a hunch, yet I'm thinking possibly a part from an earlier model Kubota tractor, such as some type of release clip.

Think you have part of a sawhorse hinge

I take that back, didn't see the knee. If it's 3-5/8" wide then I'd say sawhorse hinge. Looks to small now
