is this a bullet?

Found this in an area that had CW activity. The base appears to be hollow and it is not magnetic. I don't have calipers

I would call it a fired bullet, but I couldn't tell you the age. It has a nice patina on it but that could come from being in the ground 70 to 80 years. Hey, how did you miss that cannon ball they found down there the other day?
