✅ SOLVED Is This a Butt Plate or Something Else?

I have no idea if this a butt plate or not. It's iron and about 5 inches long. It has a slight curve to it and has two screw holes. I see no design or markings on it. Any input as to what this relic is and how old it is would be appreciated.

Not a butt plate, but I don't know what it is, just what it isn't.

Looks like it could have been a company nameplate on a pipe or something round.IMO

Its some type of old farm machery bit, I think something to do with an old plough. Not sure but had a few.

Thanks guys, I'll mark this one as solved. Good guess on the nameplate. That's probably what it is. I'll toss it in the scrap pile and move on to my next find...
