Is this a gun part?

Found this in a civil war / plantation field. It may be a gun part but not sure yet. It is made of brass and looks like it had a pin or something that is broken off on the round part. Also it has "cut marks" on it from when it was made. Also you can see a plow has bent it as well. Also in the picture are a bullet and a piece of very thin piece of copper all crinkled up. Let me know what you think.

I think its more likely from a piece of farm machinery. Looks like a cam driven latch and release part. The pointed end holds something like a planter plate in place for a time, then as the lug on cam comes around under the raised part near the other end it would raise the tooth, the plate moves around, and the point locks back in place.

Just my opinion, but I have seen many similar pieces on machinery.

I was hoping it was a gun part, but the farm implement idea makes sense.

I don't think it's from a firearm, it has milling marks and firearm parts are smooth.
kind of looks like the old style of knot tying lever off of a hay baler
