Learning from my previous post about the arrowhead find, someone mentioned a Mano tool. And some of them look like a bowl. I found this in the creek last year while mushroom hunting. I took it with me because it looked suspicious. Never had it verified. It’s been outside in the flower bed. I took the round rock to because it fit perfectly in the center of the stone. They were actually found very close to each other. The bottom of this flat stone is pretty much flat, with a slight slope on the bowl face. Could just be a rock, I really have no idea.

It surely has the right look!

Edit: What is mano and metate?

A mano, a smooth hand-held stone, is used against a metate (me-'ta-te), typically a large stone with a depression or bowl. The movement of the mano against the metate consists of a circular, rocking or chopping grinding motion using one or both hands.

Way cool cobradude22 keep them coming cause these cats on this board know so much to keep you busy looking. The info you will receive is so much fun ( at least for me).

It has the general shape but not the wear or smoothness of a Metate / Bowl .

I'm not so sure it is one.

He found it in a creek so no way to know how long the current erased some of the smoothness and pitted it somewhat.
