It does not have the characteristics of a meteorite, test it on a streak plate.

So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). I didn't get anything from a refrigerator magnet. But it was too weak possibly? I should try a stronger magnet.

It wouldn't be a crazy idea to scan through landscaping material.

14 tons of rocks and they're not all the same.

Wouldn't it be funny if landscaping resulted in discoveries in people's yards?
