All Treasure Hunting
Rock hunting has been my passion for decades and am unfamiliar with fossils. Thinking this was another rock while on a hunt, it was thrown into my bag along with everything else. Only after returning home and scrubbing the day's finds did I see that this was no ordinary rock! It measures about 6" long, 5" wide, 4" deep. On one "side" of it there are two reddish tubes coming out from inside of it. This can be seen in pics #1 and #2. Any ideas, opinions, suggestions, comments, etc would be appreciated. I have sent pictures of this to a natural history museum paleontology dept, same dept at a university and a private paleontology business - all locally and received one reply, that was from a professor at the university. He said it was a very interesting rock, not a skull. See what you think:

Hello olamay,

Welcome to TNet & thanks for the good photos of your find.

I'm with the professor on this one. Most interesting!

Interesting item as the photo #4 looks like the sutures of a skull along with the temporal lobes removed. What ever it is though it's a very cool looking find.
