IS THIS AN ARTIFACT, OR JUST A ROCK

Friend of mine found it; I promised to post it here for the experts to dissect. Personally, though it's an interesting shape, I don't see any evidence it was worked by a human. But what do I know?

I have rocks like that from known camps........... I think it was used in grinding.
