Sadly, very, very common - as shown by you finding "2" already.

The dies need regular adjustment, as well as lubricated. Both of these things (or lack thereof) can cause problems with the coins. On your coins that have wording/image too close to one edge, flip the coin over and see if it's the same way on the other side. Chances are the other side is good. This is a very common problem that happens when one of the dies is a little loose.
 

If the other side is the same it's an off center strike. If reverse is normal it's a misaligned die. Neither off center enough to have value beyond face .
