I would guess 1700's, but keep in mind, an expert I'm not :thumbsup:

I agree with TomPA... pewter/lead buttons would be from the 1700's. Great find!!

Wow, what's amazing about that is I found it in a school yard that was built in 1926. Its on a very old road but I'm still kinda shocked.

Disagree with others. That cheap pot metal stuff is not pewter & is circa mid-20th C.
