This is from southern Wisconsin. I'm trying to figure out what this image is. I think it's a manual printing press. The item is a buttonhole badge - backing and front connected by a stem.

Any ideas?

What you have is a shirt or cuff stud. They were popular during the Victorian times and up to about 1920s. It looks like an antique hand printing press like the Gutenberg, which the design didn't change that much for 100's of years. Nice find, Breezie
