Both buttons are the 1910-1927 style with the rounded rim. The smaller button has remnants of the black finish and would date 1910-1923. From 1910-1917 buttons were gilt or black, black only from 1917-1923 and gilt thereafter. From 1902 -1910 they did not have a rim. From 1910-1927 they had a rounded rim and 1927 to present have a flatter more angular rim. I can't tell if the larger button has any black on it. Can you read the backmarks?
