Two hunts from this past saturday, we got a bit of rain in the early hours so I went out a little later to the first park and the rain continue there in the form of wheat cents. I dug a total of 18 wheats in less than 2 hours, along with a 1906 Indian, a few early Jeffersons, a 1908 V nickel, and a 1937 Buffalo. The only silver showed up in the form of a war nickel from 1943 P, Also a 1927 Canadian cent and modern Chucky Cheese token. Later that day the wife sent me christmas shopping and was able to spend an hour at another park that produce the 1905 IHP and a few relics.

The relics from both hunts include, an old collar stud, a flat button, it seems forever since i last dug an oldie like this. A junk brass ring, an acorn piece that im not sure if it was a pin or what, but I like it. A blazer button made to look like an old navy button. An old GM key, the toys also joined the hunt, a few old rusty Jacks, a little tea cup made of lead pewter, looks old. Inside the cup i put three tiny lead balls i found in the same hole, any idea what they went to? A nice piece of fancy copper, and other odds and ends. The door hinge was at least a foot deep and when i saw the green patina got really exited, I thought Largie?, but not it was just a hinge. HH & GL to all.

Indians , V, Buff, wheaties , old Canadian , that's a nice hunt !

It seems I find 20 wheats to one silver I think people in my town were stingy and would search the ground for silver if they spilled any.......Great finds though I would be very happy Thanks for posting your finds!!!!!

I think Baltimore parks had a no 90% silver coins allowed policy.

You really had an awesome couple of hunts. Excellent bunch of finds!!!

Nice penny collection++find.

I hate when people say hunted out Ive gone to hunted out places and cleaned up. just coming from a different direction your coil can hit targets it missed before weather can help also so many things swing speed. Its good they feel that way so now you have it to yourself my friend

Yes the different direction theory is always proven right in my case, also new machines, deeper also larger coils and just the willingness to pop deep iffy signals is what keep producing at this kind of sites.

Great that you took advantage of the opportunities to hunt. Don't give up on finding silver. With that many wheat pennies, there has to be a few more silvers around. Congrats on your finds.
