ITALY 925 chain

Out for a short hunt We. 3-18-09 and hit this chain and pendant at around 4.5". Chain measures approx. 24" and clasp link is stamped "ITALY 925" Pendant appears to be half of a yen/yang with peace symbol. Chain and pendant were found intact with no breaks, kinks or knots in chain.

Hello,

Cool find, the yin yang is a Chinese philosophy, the concept of complementary opposites within a greater whole. I.E (dark and light, large and small, war and peace.) The chain likely came from K mart it is funny the big jewelry stores like Zales or K Jewelry get their silver from cheap companies made in America or China. K mart however gets it from Italy so that is the place you want to get good jewelry from.
