IT'S BAAACK!!!!!!!!!
On April 5th My Pro-Pointer broke
. I was extremely upset because my vacation was coming up and all I had was my backup F-point, which is reliable but not very good. So I called Garrett and they said they would put a rush on it. So I sent it in. They received it on Monday the 9th. I've been waiting for a phone call from them letting me know something but hadn't heard anything.
Last week I went detecting for the first time since December without my Pro-Pointer and it really sucked. I didn't find much except for a mushrooming pocket knife which told me I might be in the right spot for morels
I've been wanting to try to find morels anyway so its nice to have the knife for it.
Well today my vacation started and I still hadn't heard anything from Garrett so this morning bright and early I headed out to do some combination detecting and mushroom hunting with the plan to call Garrett when I got back.
One of the places I went was the park I found the broken butcher knife at. I commented then that when I found the knife I looked around for a body but didn't find one. Well today I found a partial skeleton
I don't think it is human though, thank goodness.
Unfortunately I didn't find any mushrooms or much of anything else except trash and 4 old zinc mason jar lids with glass seals. I did find some raspberry plants so I plan on coming back so I can make some mixed berry wine this summer but the bones kind of freaked me out so I headed home to see if I could determine if the bones were human.
When I pulled up to the house I found a box waiting for me on my front steps!!!
I snatched it up and ran inside like a kid shouting "IT'S HERE!! IT'S HERE!!"
Yep Garrett came through and got my pro pointer back in time for my vacation
I gotta say Their customer service is the best I have ever seen.
They said on the phone when I called them before sending it in that they would have to repair it rather than replace it because of the backlog but I really like the serial number on mine because it ends in 777 so I'm glad they could fix it.
Total finds today 1 Quarter, 2 dimes, 6 Pennies, 4 jar lids and an old tin cup
