Just logged on for the first time since 2020. I kind of forgot about Tnet, what with all the NA artifact pages I follow on Facebook. I don’t know what I like better, the points or the agate. What part of IA do you find agates in? I do lapidary and would love to be able to find agates like that. You’re a lucky guy!!

Great stuff! To have a nice little helper like that is pretty 😎 awesome….my son turns two next week and I can’t wait until he’s old enough to do his own finding and not watching dad! I see your from Iowa, I had to look, as a couple of those agates you have appear to be the Lake Superior Agates I have spent much of life hunting…in my opinion anyways. I know the glacial tills dropped some goodies off in Iowa, hunted plenty myself, so there are some nice LSA to be found… The high iron content sure did create some colorful and beautiful agates. I have come across only a handful of the deep dark red, almost blackish agates…they seem to be quite rare and are always so busy looking, lots of patterns,“eyes” as we used to call the perfect little bullseye spots… Of course Iowa is a gold mine when it comes to native artifacts, all great stuff!
