It's gold but what is it?

Found this at a tag sale but have no idea what it is. It's a few inches big. Gold tests have a slight reaction at 14K but no Reaction to 10K so could it be 12K?

It's some sort of Spring loaded clip and has a small herringbone chain with Scissor like clasp. No markings at all and has pattern all over.

Any ideas?

Wow you hit the nail on the head! Now i just have to find the same design to track the manufacturer. I see similar designs but not the same. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
