It's lead.. But what is it really?


I found this in Michie,TN along side some civil war bullets and stuff. It kind of looks like a pistol or a gun shape. Does anyone know what this is or came off of? Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks!

Probably carved lead. Soldiers would set around and carve on bullets. My favorite finds. Nice job

jumper for a battery cell ... pewter is also very close to lead as well...
