Today I went out on an outing with my detector club to an oval that was thought to be cleaned out.Our club has been there three times and every time we have found well over a hundred coins.Well today once again over a hundred coins were found, oldest being 1911 Penny. I found 28 coins myself nearly all very deep beyond the reach of other detectors, the Explorer2 and platypus coil really excelled in this situation. One of the coins I found was a commemorative Australian florin which was produced in 1954 in honour of the Queens visit to Australia. Then later I dug up a brass chicken I dont know the history of it it was at least 12 inches down in the ground. It probably came from some board game or competition. The only problem today it rained nearly all of the time and I am sure if the weather had been better we would have found more. Seeya Neilo
