From what you told me, unless you plan on doing some very complicated or personal banking stuff online, your PC is plenty "new" enough.
Many, many people want the highest end, fastest processors, deepest storage PC's and all they ever do with it is send email, surf the net and read. None of which need very much ooompff to do.

But, sounds like you don't need my help. Enjoy!
