It's official !!!

I single handily removed every single bottle cap, and pull tab from old orchard beach in Maine.

Did manage to get a silver ring (925 marked)and silver religious pendant (sterling marked) thou. along with a ton of clad. Well over $15. Hit after hit ... I would set my detector down and bang a hit where I set it downb.
Lots and lots of Canadian coins. It's a vacation destination for a lot of them from the great white north.

Nothing old for I believe that they had re-sanded the beach not to long ago.

i keep thinking that i have thinned out the vast majority of tabs etc from my closest spot, but they keep popping up, are they reproducing?

Nice finds, I only get old coins at the waters edge at low tide myself.

I've removed a few myself some years back, they must be multiplying!
I believe they do re-sand there. There's a patch of metal debris from a fire years back, several hundred feet north of the pier, unless that too is buried by the sand replenishing.

I stayed mostly on the south side of the pier ... Looked like more people where there.

I imagine enough pull tabs and you can scrap them at the local junk yard!=) I've got quite a collection myself as well as buried beer cans...Good work..
