Coronado’s Children: Tales of Lost Mines and Buried Treasures of the Southwest and Apache Gold and Yaqui Silver are classic tales of lost and buried treasures.
The books were very popular and there are likely copies in your local library. Don’t expect any of the stories to lead you to any treasure. The older version of Coronado’s Children includes a map on the end-pages showing the general locations of the stories. The newer version I own does not have the map. I do like the illustrations (by Charles Shaw, example shown on cover of the book) in the newer version. Most people recommend the older version of Apache Gold and Yaqui Silver because in addition to black & white illustrations there are color illustrations by Tom Lea.
