I got this necklace out of a junk container that I purchased for $1. The chain says 750 and 13VI. I know 750 is 18K, but I don't know what the 13VI is. Also, the jade piece that hung from it is a bit odd. Does anybody know what it means?
Great find! I’m no expert but i found this, I hope it helps.

I found this pertaining to the 13vi:

Italian registration belonging to
Giovanni Balestra & Figli
Established in 1882
13vi granted in 1935
Registration number assigned 18 March 1968.
It appears they were a silverware maker, among other things

Some time ago at this indoor flea market there was a vendor that did estate buys. She would gather up all the miscellaneous small items and put them all in a jar at one price. This is one she set out for $7.50 for everything inside. That Mickey Mouse inside was found to be from 1937 I believe. I put it on ebay and got a little over $300. for it.

My guess would be,“Sit on it Fonzie?”
Maybe someone will have the right answer to that one. 😂
That’s a Mano Figa - obscene gesture or good luck sign!

Here’s an explanation:

That is a cool idea for moving items at a sale and a super deal for you. I’d be smiling for a week!

Cool find. These hands with pointing fingers have been popular pendants since Victorian times. Usually it’s the index finger that’s outstretched, with a general spiritual message that the wearer ultimately hopes to ascend to heaven.

The gold marks are Italian. The letters ‘VI are for the Province of Vicenza and ‘13’ is the registration number for the maker: Giovanni Balestra & Figli spa of Bassano del Grappa, in business since 1882 and registered in 1935. However, your mark is more recent. The numbers and letters were separated by a ‘fasces’ symbol (an axe in a bundle of rods) until 1944 when fascist symbolism was banned. Also, the purity mark in a polygonal lozenge with a star at the left of the number wasn’t introduced until 1968, so that’s the earliest possible date.
