Japanese Laws

Hi all, I am new to Metal Detecting (in fact, I don't have one yet, not til next week or so), but have been doing extensive research and I love it already. The problem is that in about 6 months my family and I are moving to Kadena AFB in Okinawa Japan. I hope some folks know any laws about detecting that could help. The whole island is beaches and I look forward to what I might find. Any help would be appreciated.
