I'm thinking this is a Jetton, found in Oxfordshire. Any help on country of origin, date etc would be greatly appreciated.
I originally posted this on the what is it forum but for some reason my Tapatalk always flag's them as solved? 20191217_195634.webp20191217_195620.webp

The obverse shows the "Chatel Tournois" (the Castle of Tours) design of the town of Tours; raising the probability the Jetton was made in the Tournai mint.
Don.......

I haven't got time for a full attribution but I can confirm its a nice early type from France. Better than the average Jetton. Congrats

Cheers Crusader, been a while since you advised me to get that ring checked by a FLO , is been sent to the British museum for validation.
Thanks as always for taking the time to post.

No worries, good luck with the valuation. If you need further advise, let me know. I convinced them to consider changing the £1800-2000 Provincial Valuation to £3200. It's better to put in observations prior to the formal Valuation Committee otherwise you can only challenge it by paying for an Independent Valuer.
