I saw buried in an estate sale ad two Jaeger Lecoultre watches for auction. It was my first time going to an estate auction at a location. It was a cold rainy morning and we were huddled in tents but the auction went on. At the preview I noticed the older JLC watch was a redial probably from the 40s but the Memovox alarm watch was running and in decent condition except for a small scratch on the inner dial. I’ve been wanting a JLC Memovox and a reverso for some time so I was excited about having a chance to get it. The auction started with coins and it was unbelievable the crazy prices people were paying. Some guy bought a 2 L bottle of modern pennies for $40. Ike dollars we’re going for three dollars apiece and coins about double the melt value price. When the watches came up I wasn’t sure where it would end up but I got the memovox at a price about half of retail. The other watches went at fairly decent prices but nothing I had to have since I bought this watch. Very happy. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1574698241.254969.webp

Nice fine to add to your collection

Yup! Paid $500 (in PayPal earnings) and prices on Chrono24 start at $2100+. Feeling really good about this one!

It's a beautiful watch. Those JLC are highly priced. Very elusive! I've never come across one. Great score!

Nice! Reminds me of this watch that I ultimately sold, but yours is more exclusive and rare!ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1574792007.179332.webp

Good job. I bought one of those in the 90s for $80. I picked it up in Colorado and in same week going through Albuquerque there was a jeweler who delt vintage watches I showed it to him and he gave me $150. for it. The watch was from the 60s. Before he offered me the 150 he called a fella in Florida and describe to him that it was in like condition, which it was. It wasn't a gold case, but GF, but it was in excellent condition. Good luck on finding a deal on a Reverso.

Excellent score and Price Ha.com is having a watch auction Dec 10th There are some decent pieces going on the block. I am in NYC that day so I am stopping by. You can check the auction out online if you are interested in looking :) JLC Alrm is a must have for any collection
