Joe's Body Shop revisited...Best toy find?

Several weeks ago I posted a smashed flat Wyandotte auto I had dug at a razed homesite in northern MI. In the "Todays find" post I had indicated that I was going to try and bring her back to life and I finally found a little time to do just that. The first three pics are the ones I originally posted.....Three more to follow. Thanks for lookin.....Joe

Excellent! I was going to try that with an old metal pickup truck I found, but alas too many pieces were missing. Monty

Not hard to find repros, but they dont look near as nice as the originals.
Thomastoys .com is a distributor just down the road from me that specializes in vintage car and truck parts.Thier prices are more reasonable than most.

Amazing!
I envy both your skills and your dedication in this remarkable restoration— a task I wouldn't dream of attempting!
(Note: if you ever decide to restore it to "as found" condition, I might be able to help with that. ::))

Re: Joe's Body Shop revisited...Best toy find?

Very nice job restoreing the car to its almost original look... I like the paint job...

Re: Joe's Body Shop revisited...Best toy find?

Quite an artistic endeavor!!

Re: Joe's Body Shop revisited...Best toy find?

After seeing this, I wish I hadn't thrown mine away. Years ago, a friend and I had found and old truck like that. Looked about like your's when you first found it. My buddy talked me out of it. I never dreamed it could be brought back to life. Beautiful job. I might have to call him and see if he hung on to it. What would you charge a man for a job like that? ;D

Re: Joe's Body Shop revisited...Best toy find?

That is a sweet fix up. From a cool find to a beautiful treasure.
