July 4th weekend finds Civil war Burnside cartridges etc
I can't think of a better way to spend the 4th of July weekend than finding bits and pieces of OUR Nations history!!!!
These are Burnside carbine cartridges one middle is intact but without the bullet, the others are somewhat damaged but one 54 cal ball among them. A harmonica reed, a hammered button and the trigger to a (?) pistol the other. Probably a Confederate Bivoac, the area found near Martinsburg Wva was known for Guerilla activety.
