QUICK HUNT AFTER WORK
Evening was setting in was getting tired of large nails and shot gun shells mixed.
Wasn't going to dig this, amongst iron grunt and squeals, but there was a small constant solid ping
at a colonial house site,
you never know.....

have no clue of its age, the bronze guard is in good condition, so maybe not that old
can see little bronze rivet pins on handle, going open the hole up more to see if I can find other parts or maybe pommel
the blade is 5" and the piece totals 9.5"
can the age be assessed by shape of blade or style of cross guard?
