Not much today. Some interesting things, but I loved every moment. I felt sooooo relaxed!

If there's anything you want to see a different angle, just ask.

Modern art? LOL

I figure the smaller one on the right is probably a modern slug. But, what the heck is the large thing? It appears to be lead, has that white patina of age and the hole on one end is smaller than the other. It also doesn't have any rings and is pretty big. Could it be a bullet?

I think this used to be a bell. The little circle thingy was inside the larger piece.

Fairly nice flat button.

Thanks for peeking.

You found the most important thing, enjoyment. Looks like the place has some age, I see an ox horn tip and the flat button so there's some good potential there. Your post reminded me of when I first started digging, I got a chance to hunt the Scovill mansion in Waterbury CT. I had high hopes for digging some good buttons and rich folk coins but either it had already been hunted or my lack of experience resulted in far from the desired outcome :)

Yep, that's what I finally learned after all these years. It's time to just, plain, start enjoying life. Before it's all gone.

This place is well known, very private, has an extensive history, all of which I now know. Being private, it hasn't been hit much before. If it's been hit at all, it was on the sly and probably at night. Although, it would be a good place to get oneself shot! ;)

I know it hasn't been hit too hard because ever since I started hunting this place, (with permission of course), I have found many, many old coins. A LOT of these coins, indian head cents, a flying eagle cent, etc, were laying from right on top to 4 inches down. Not a signal that could've been ignored. :)

I know of the flat button as well, but, which one do you see is the ox horn cover? The big, white piece of lead? I wasn't sure what that used to be.

Thanks for the response!
