Last Sunday night we got hit with some serious storms. Monday and Tuesday saw some rain also. Yesterday it was kind of mild and I had a little bit of daylight after work to go exploring. I walked up the creek in my best producing location. I picked up a lot of shards, nails, broken glass, teeth, a spring from I assume a mattress, a caster that was probably from the bed, some sort of fastener, a long nail, and an interesting piece... a railroad spike. There was a railroad in the area at one time, but as I understood it, it would have been closer to the northwest corner of my property. This creek is on the south east and the creek runs from easterly and then north. I"m going to have to research the railroad again. My fingers were numb when I quit. I found an amazing amount stuff in about 20 minutes. Hopefully more will turn up this spring.
